Simple to fit (if a little fiddley but thats almost bound to happen as there is not much room for manouver).
No problems setting the height or the distance.
Works perfectly.
I'v noticed some other types are plastic and do not allow for such precision adjustment.
No hesitation in recommending this.

When I first tried to fit this to my Landescape tandem I was disappointed as the gear cable stop lug got in the way of the strap. So I risked breaking it and cut a littlt out from the strap with then fitted it. The strap seems plenty strong enough still and it appears to work fine - Jolly good!

Further to my previous review, the device has now been on the bike for a while and we have had no chains going where they shouldn't. The acid test came during the Bishops Castle triathlon when climbing Costley hill (twice). Last year we lost about 2 minutes here due to the chain falling off whilst trying to drop on to the granny ring. This year, with the jump stop attached, I was positively vicious with my changes both times and the chain went only where it should. Well worth fitting one.

I have fitted this ti my tandem with great success, easy to fit and adjust and it works brillinatly, We have a jump from 38 to 22 on out front cogs and we frequently had the chain dropping off the small cog when changing down at the bottom of a steep hill, really frustrating as you loose your momentum and all your friends whiz past you. We have no problem now and i can easily drop down to granny gear with no worries! Aeally net little device!

My road bike has a 20, 32,44 chain ring and a 10 speed 11 -23 cassette - try it it will get you up almost anything and you have a top pedling speed of over 30mph. My problem was that the chain would sometimes come off when going from middle to small chain ring - usually part way up a long steep hill.
The jump stop chain guard has stopped that and it was easy to fit. Probably very difficult if your frame is aluminium as the joins are too wide but for steel and titanium it works a treat.
